BAFE were originally established in 1984 as “British approvals for Fire Equipment” with the remit to approve and promote quality fire products in the face of, at that time, what was a flood of cheap poor performing imported goods. Since those early beginnings BAFE are now recognised as the premier mark for both quality products and service within the fire protection sector. Every BAFE scheme approval is underpinned by a rigorous technical and quality assessment. CDS were pleased to be able to use BSI product services to assess our technical capability which resulted in the issue of our Kitemark license KM550306 and ultimately our BAFE approval. BAFE approval is now very often the initial minimum requirement for many major purchasing organisations.

Complete Detection Systems is an approved Elite Systems Integrator for Gent by Honeywell who are one the UK’s leading manufacturers of Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting equipment. In order for CDS to become a Systems Integrator we have had to meet a strict code of compliance and undergo a continual assessment by Gent by Honeywell in order to establish continuity in our work standards and also to ensure that CDS is kept fully up to date with current legislation and any changes to standards and procedure.
